Thelma Zembo

ZEMBO, Thelma Ruth - Age 95, of Flushing, died Monday, September 12, 2016. A private graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Thelma was born February 24, 1921 in Flint, the daughter of Harold A. and Hazel I. (Neale) Gay. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Charles Paul Zembo June 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death April 3, 2007. She retired from the Flushing Community School District as a secretary at the Junior High School. Thelma was a charter member of Flushing Presbyterian Church and Flushing Valley Country Club. She also was a member of Western Life Fraternal Association, Bridge Club, and the Tuesday Book Club. She enjoying knitting, crocheting, and playing cards. Surviving are: sons, Douglas (Linda) Zembo of Clio and James (Christine Gleason) Zembo of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Derek Zembo and Cody (Lauren Holaly) Zembo; great grandchildren, Hunter Dillon, Christian, Monica, and Quinn Zembo.
