Thelma Jean HARASIM

HARASIM, Thelma Jean -- Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died January 16, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, January 21 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Mr. Ron Brooks officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association. Mrs. Harasim was born April 9, 1922 in Alpena the daughter of Jacob G. and Hulda A. (Olsen) Houck. She married William H. Harasim December 18, 1944; he preceded her in death November 29, 2002. She worked as a Secretary for the Swartz Creek Schools for 24 years working in the Middle School, High School, and Administration Building. She was a Sunday School Teacher in Alpena. She enjoyed her friends, shopping, attending her grandchildrens events, family holiday gatherings, and traveling. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are: three sons, David and wife Jayne of Columbiaville, Paul and wife Patricia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mark and wife Lynn of Grand Blanc; nine grandchildren, Nathan (Helen), Daniel (Valeria), Alyssa, Sonya, Isaiah, Tatiana, Brittany, Tara, and Haley; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Frank. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings.The family would like to thank all the nurses at Clairbridge, Genesys Hospital and Genesys hospice Care Center.
