BUFFMYER, Thelma, age 85 of Fenton, formerly of Jackson, passed away on December 6, 2023.  Per Thelma's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service is planned.  

Thelma was born on April 21, 1938 in Boyle, Alberta, Canada to Allan and Nora O'Neil.  Thelma and her twin sister Selma were adopted by Erwin and Olive Splane at the age of 4 after the untimely death of Nora O’Neil. Thelma proudly worked many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was known as a "helper" to many people and causes.  Thelma was a former, and active, resident of Millpond Manor and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton.

Thelma is survived by her daughter, Leann Buffmyer of Fenton; Grandchildren Jordan (Oliver) Harris-Fisher of the United Kingdom, Jason Harris, Jennifer Harris, and Joseph Harris, all of Fenton; Her twin sister, Selma Adams of British Columbia, Canada and Selma’s children Cherryle (John) Kereiff, Shelly (Murray) Markert, and Edward (Ruth) Adams. Thelma is also survived by many other family members from both the O’Neil and Splane families. 

Thelma was preceded in death by her former husband, James Buffmyer; Former in-laws, Roy and Ella Buffmyer; Brother-in-law, Edward Adams; As well as both sets of parents and many of her siblings.
