Thelma O. BEAVERS

BEAVERS, Thelma O. - age 93, of Flushing, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Brian's House, Davison. Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday at Fenton Road Baptist Church, G-4386 Fenton Road, Flint, Pastor Michael Stallard officiating. Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM and 4PM-8PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 10AM until time of service at the Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation. Thelma was born July 23, 1916 in Jane, Virginia, the daughter of the late Noah S. and Stella (Charles) Owens. She married Clyde L. Beavers April 14, 1934 in Elkhorn City, KY. Thelma and her family moved to Flint in 1953 where she sold Real Estate in the flint and surrounding area for 20 years. She was a member of Fenton Road Baptist Church for 57 years and taught Sunday school for 51 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son Kenneth (Judy) Beavers of Flint; daughter Martha Brown of Flushing; Grandchildren: Mark (Jenny) Beavers of Clio, John (Katie) Beavers of Brighton, Carmen Green of Burton, JB (Elaine) Brown of Northville, Aaron (Molly) Brown of Livonia, Ruthie (Rodney) Keller of Burton, Heather Beavers of Roseville; 17 Great Grandchildren and sister Mildred (William) Long of Swartz Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 1983, son David in 1993, daughter-in-law Liz Beavers in 2003, brothers Reed Owen, Paul Owen and sister Carmen Harris.
