Terry Lemoyne Stoops

STOOPS, Terry, age 71 of Fenton, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest, with military honors, at 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery located at 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Terry to the Fenton VFW - Post 3243 (1148 Leroy Street, Fenton, Michigan 48430)

Terry was born on March 25, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Russell Oliver and Edna Oretha (Mathis) Stoops. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1971 before serving our country with the United States Army. He married LeeAnn Gwinup on June 9, 1990 in Flint, Michigan. Terry enjoyed building model cars and was an avid collector of N Scale model trains.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, LeeAnn. Daughters, Tina (Scott) Berg of Goodrich and Carol Tyree of Mt. Morris. Granddaughter, Kenna. Great-grandchildren, Aella and Theodore. Cats, Garfield and Missy. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his fur baby cat, Hot Rod.
