Terry Pender

PENDER, Terry Ronald - age 79, of Fenton, died March 28, 2022. Services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Saturday, April 2 at the funeral home. Interment will take place 9 AM Monday, April 4 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Terry was born February 15, 1943 in Hanceville, AL, the son of Terry Lee and Perlene (McCollum) Pender. He married Edith Cheryl McCoy on June 19, 1966 and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2013. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Motors as an Electrical Engineer. He was a private pilot who loved to fly and build airplanes. Terry was also an Extra Class Amateur Radio operator. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, including playing Rummy with his grandson, Jacob. Surviving are: 4 children, Sherry and husband Chris Cubr of Fenton, Deborah and husband, Jim  Pattan of Fenton, Jeff and wife Amy Pender of Columbiaville, and Steven and wife Angie Pender of Fenton; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Bobby James (Joan) Pender of Hanceville, AL; and dog.
