Terry Lynn Horton

HORTON, Terry Lynn - age 72, of Flint Twp., passed away November 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Terry was born December 24, 1950 in Flint, the son of Hershel Lee and Dorothy Louise (Vincent) Horton. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Detroit School of Business. Terry married Susan Marie Sova on May 9, 1985 in Mt. Morris. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2007 after 35 years as a Letter Carrier. Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting. He played baseball in high school and was a dedicated fan of the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, and University of Michigan football. He loved to talk to family and friends about the teams' latest results and developments. Surviving are: Wife, Susan Horton, Daughter Tracy Horton (Jonathan Tamari), Son Ryan Horton (Aileen Horton), Step daughters Jodi Hackl and Wendy Findley, Grandsons Irwin, Franz, Zachary, Bryan and Nathan, Granddaughters Ashley, Erica, and Meara and many great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
