Terry was born June 11, 1958 in Flint, the son of Andy and Barbara J. (Knight) Akers. He had resided in Flint his entire life. Surviving are: mother, Barbara Jean Akers of Flint; brother, Andy and wife Bobette Akers of Culleoka, TN; 2 nephews, Aaron and Korey Akers of Culleoka, TN.
