Terri Lack-Sowa

LACK-SOWA, Terri Lynn- Age 63, of Cheboygan, MI, formerly of Swartz Creek,MI, passed away, May 2, 2023 in Middletown, OH with her family by her side. A Memorial Gathering will be held 12:00PM-4:00 PM Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Memorial Contributions in Terri's memory would be appreciated to the wishes of her family.

Terri was born March 6, 1960 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of James E. and Verneda (Maloney ) Lack. She was the oldest of four sisters and a 1978 Graduate of Goodrich High School. Terri loved Northern Michigan and was lucky enough to live there for the last decade. Terri loved music and laughed often. She cherished her visits with her kids and grandchildren, and her adored puppy Lila. Most family members called her Mimi and she will be forever in our hearts.

Terri is survived by her parents, Jim and Verneda Lack of Fenton, MI; sisters, Debra (Lack) Bylak, of Flushing, MI, Kimberlee (Jeffery) Purper, and nephew Tyler, of San Antonio, TX, Susan (Lack) Costello, and nephew, Tristen, of Middletown, OH; her children, Daniel (Kelly) Sowa, of Davison, MI, Michael (Jessica) Sowa, of Swartz Creek, MI, and Jessica L. Sowa, of Swartz Creek, MI; Terri is also loved and remembered by her former husband and life long friend, Stephen L. Sowa, of Swartz Creek, MI; grandchildren, Skye Lee, Nolan, Reid, Joey, Matilda, Zoey, and Franklin; great granddaughter, Kaylani. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike (Chopper) Yates; niece, Jamie I. Purper; and Grandma, Maloney.
