Terrance Whitten

WHITTEN, Terrance Thomas - age 59, died Thursday, October 4, 2007. Services will be held 5 PM Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until the time of service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Families of Fallen Soldier's Relief Fund. Terry was born August 28, 1948 in Flint, the son of James E. and Ruth L. (Marble) Whitten. He was a graduate of Holy Redeemer High School were he anchored two championship football teams. After graduation, Terry joined the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from General Motors in 1997 after 32 years of service. Terry enjoyed attending his son's hockey games and loved his grandchildren and daughters-in-law. Surviving are: two sons, Jason Whitten and wife, Marin of Holt, Damon Whitten and wife, Angela of Alaska; four grandsons, Jake, Ruston, Luke and Terrance; mother, Ruth L. Whitten of Swartz Creek; three brothers, Gerald Whitten and wife, Ann of Linden, James Michael Whitten of Swartz Creek, Timothy D. Whitten of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews also survive.
