Terrance Gibbs

GIBBS, Terrance "Terry" Jan - age 62, of Flint, died Friday, March 8, 2019. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for his grandchildren. Terry was born August 22, 1956 and was a 1974 graduate of Kearsley High School where he was active in may sports including the first hockey team. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed playing the guitar, bowling and golfing. Terry had even scored a hole-in-one. He was a truck driver at the GM Truck and Bus plant where he was a member of U.A.W. Local 598. Surviving are: daughters, Jennifer Gibbs-Castillo and Amy Nay, both of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Kaitlyn and Logan Gibbs-Castillo; sister, Deborah Gibbs-Halm of Grand Blanc; step-mother, Clara Gibbs; nephews, Aaron Halm, Derek Halm, and Brian Halm; many cousins; close friends, Joe Calcagno, John Zafiroff, and Lynn and Ron Stewart; dog, Hunter. He was preceded in death by: his father, Philip Gibbs; mother, Madelon Witten; and brother, Chris Gibbs; dog, Rayney. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
