Teri Johnson

Johnson, Teri Marie - Age 61, of  Mundy Township, died November 26, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday, December 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek; and 10-11 AM Friday December 10 at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Pollak Children's Fund . Teri was born February 7, 1960 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur Maxwell and Glenna (Augsbury) Maxwell. She was a 1978 graduate of Carman High School. Teri married Dennis Johnson on May 30, 1981. Teri owned and operated her own medical billing company Marimax Physician's Billing. Teri was a member and former president of the Gold Star Mothers. She was a former board member at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Teri and Dennis established A Hero's Legacy Foundation in memory of their son Sgt. Joe Johnson. Surviving are: husband Dennis; daughter, Jennifer (Nich)  Pollak of Albion; grandchildren, Hailey, Brennan, Landon, Brooklyn, Josiah and Owen Pollak; mother Glenna Maxwell; brothers, Jim (Robin) Maxwell, John (Lisa) Maxwell; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Lois Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur Maxwell; son Sgt. Joseph Johnson who died in combat serving his country in Afghanistan; granddaughter Katelyn Pollak and father-in-law Gene Johnson.
