Terence Lantz

LANTZ, Terence Arthur - Age 83, of Byron, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 surrounded by his family at home. A funeral service will take place 11 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Durand Nazarene Church, 9725 E. Monroe Rd., Durand, where a  livestream can be viewed on the church's you tube channel. Pastor Michael McCarty will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday at the church and again from 10 AM until the time of service Saturday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Durand Nazarene Church.

Terence was born on February 21, 1937 in Clinton Township, the son of the late Emerson and Hazel (Shrock) Lantz. Terence retired from the State Bank, where he managed the Linden branch for many years before his retirement. Terence loved spending time with his family, playing games, farming, and watching Gaither videos. In 1985 he married Gyl (Kinne) Lantz, with whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage on December 26.

He is survived by his wife, Gyl Lantz; daughter, Vonda (Bill) Everly; son, Gregory (Heather) Lantz; grandchildren, Koen, Ashtyn, Travis, and Kathy (Joe); many great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Martha) Lantz and David (Elaine) Lantz; and sister-in-laws, Mary Beth and Darlene Lantz.
