KERCKAERT, Taylor Elizabeth- Age 15, of Durand, died April 1, 2016. A private memorial will be held with family and close friends with Pastor Brian Oswald of the Glad Tiding Tabernacle officiating. Her passion was her music. She played guitar and sang daily. She was a gentle soul and always said she was born in the wrong generation (60s, 70s, love/peace). Her favorite guitar player was Angus Young of AC/DC and her favorite musician was John Lennon. Taylor played many concerts and benefits showcasing her amazing talent. She won first place the last two years at the Swartz Creek Idol Contest which gave her the opportunity to step into the recording studio and record professionally for the first time. Above all, Taylor loved spending time with her family and friends. Taylor is survived by her mother, Kathy Kerckaert (William McDonald) of Durand; siblings, Kaitlynn (Matthew) Morris of Lapeer, Konner Kerckaert of Durand, Billy (Casey) McDonald and their daughter Zoey of Lansing, Randy (Somer) McDonald of Belleville, Blake (Tanya) McDonald of Travis AFB CA; uncles, Marc McKinney and his daughter, Maisyn of Lapeer, Mike (Linda) McKinney and their sons Lucas and Jackson of Shelby Township, Pat (Trish) McKinney and their daughter, Madison of Columbiaville, Matt McKinney and his daughter Lydia of Lapeer, Mark (Renee) McDonald of Columbiaville; aunts, Sherry (Rich) Knowlton of Highland, Lisa (Marc) Brannon of Davison; grandparents, Norm (Kathy) McKinney of Lapeer, Ed (Barb) Kerckaert of Lapeer, Connie McDonald of Lapeer.
