Sylvia "Sam" Miller

MILLER, Sylvia "Sam" Mae - Age 84, of  Howell, died Tuesday December 8, 2020. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Quality Living Systems. Sylvia was born February 9, 1936 in Howell, Michigan, the daughter of Dwight and Aleana (Poole) Sharp. Sylvia owned and operated Sylvia's Lighting Boutique for 9.5 years. She was then employed at Winn's Electrical Supply for 18.5 years, Vic Bond Sales for 7.5 years and Castles Brothers for 5 years. Sylvia was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association; Grand Blanc Business Association; Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce; Quality Living Systems for the Handicapped-Learning Disabilities.   Sylvia was also on the GCARC Board of directors and Hearthstone Housing for Handicapped Board of Directors. Surviving are:daughter's, Victoia L. (Steve)Schmidt of Frankenmuth, Deborah M. (Dan) Levely of Flint; granddaughter, Morgan L.Schmidt; sister, Violet Corkins of Howell; brother, Alvin (Joan) Sharp of Williamston and several nieces and nephews.
