Sylvia Marie- Honeycutt Swirple

SWIRPLE, Sylvia Marie-Honeycutt, age 70, of Sterling Heights, joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 10, 2021.  Born on June 2, 1950 in Detroit, MI, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Maywood and Wanda (Malinowski) Honeycutt; beloved and caring mother of Stephen (Katlyn) Swirple; doting grandmother to Bryson and Teagan.  Sylvia is survived by her sister Ms. Anita Griffis, brother Mr. Michael (Diane) Honeycutt, four nephews and a niece.

Sylvia retired from Jervis B. Webb Company after working for forty years in the legal department.  Sylvia was passionate for her love of culinary arts and making homemade meals. She was an avid collector of fine antique Lenox, McCoy vases, and Precious Moments.  Sylvia loved gardening and anything flowers, especially red roses and yellow tulips.  Watching her first grandchild, Bryson, grow as a toddler, blowing kisses goodnight and listening to farm animal sounds brought her great joy and fond memories of her only son Stephen as a child.  Sylvia enjoyed laying with her granddaughter Teagan and feeding her endless bottles of milk and smiles.  Last but not least, Sylvia loved the company of her granddogs Bella and Charlie, whether throwing fetch for endless hours or enjoying snuggles in bed at night.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Interment Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sylvia’s memory may be made to Catholic Charities of MI, Inc., Arbor Day Foundation, and American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  For further information or to make a tribute, please visit www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
