Sylvia Rose Bell, age 77, of Flint, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. A Visitation will be held starting at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12pm on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Sylvia will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Albert, at Flint Memorial Park. Those wishing may make contributions to the family. Sylvia was born on February 9, 1946, in Dobson, North Carolina to the late Grover & Virginia Hardy. She graduated from Southwestern in 1961. Sylvia was employed by Hudson Department Store in her earlier years and most recently with Carmen Ainsworth School districts.
Sylvia enjoyed the great outdoors; she loved caring for her flower gardens. She looked forward to the car trips Up North with her son, Jerry, and trips to the casino with her daughter, Kimmy. Sylvia was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest happiness in life.
She is survived by her two children, Jerry Bell (April) and Kimmy Parris; grandson, Chad White “Bell”; granddaughter, Melanie McDermott; great-granddaughter, Faith Ann McDermott and siblings, Mike (Laura) Hardy and Randy (Marla) Hardy. She is further survived by her relatives in North Carolina whom she loved to visit, Edna Jean (Arlin) Stanley; special friend, Bruce Helmer who she loved like a son and many nieces, nephews and other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, Grover (Virginia) Hardy. she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bell; grandson, Daine White “Bell” and son-in-law, Poncho.
