Susan Marie SMITH

SMITH, Susan Marie - Age 56, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Byron, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Service will be held 11AM Monday, August 17, 2009 at Oshtemo United Methodist Church, 6574 Stadium Drive, Oshtemo, MI 49077, Pastor Suzanne Kornowski officiating. Susan was born June 16, 1953 in Flint, the daughter of Edward and Marion (Rafuse) Smith and had lived in Kalamazoo the past 32 years. She was a member and lay minister at Oshtemo United Methodist Church. Ms. Smith was a member of the Professional Women's Club. Susan enjoyed traveling and had visited London, Paris, China, Greece and Turkey. Her idea of a great day would be stopping at a garage sale to buy books on her way to a casino! Surviving to cherish her memory are: mom, Marion Smith of Linden; brother, David Smith of Uncasville, CT; sisters, Wendy (Pat) Maccombs, Nina (Jeff) Lozier and Rebecca Keith, all of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Penny of Canada.
