Susan Mae Guidroz

Guidroz, Susan “Sue” Mae  - Lansing - Age 83, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away December 7, 2023. Susan was born October 23, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan, daughter of Walter and Genevieve “Jennie” (Kulik) Winkowski. She graduated from Saginaw High, class of 1958.  She enjoyed cake decorating, ceramic and toll painting classes. She crocheted, made cards and quilts. Sue started working as a secretary at Michigan Dept of Transportation. She went to Delta College and received an Associate in Business Studies in Office Management in 1987. Sue moved to Lansing to further her employment in the Dept of Agriculture and the Dept of Education.  She enjoyed gardening, was especially proud of her roses and having the nicest yard in the neighborhood. Sue loved hummingbirds and watching them in her backyard. Her collection of ornaments, plates, figurines & plaques, all with hummingbirds, is well known to family and friends. Sue was “ma”, “mom”, “gram” and “grandma” to everyone. She is survived by her children, Deborah (John) Berlin, Chad Guidroz and Kristen (Ramiro) Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren; 8 grand-grandchildren; brother John P. Winkowski; sister, Frances E. Vincent; her beloved dog, Littly Bitty Pretty Girl. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Arthur Guidroz, Jr; sisters, Joan Briggs, Barbara Lyles and Mary Ann Wheatley; brother, Walter Winkowski, Jr.  Per her wishes, cremation has already taken place.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
