Susan Gothro CASTANEDA

CASTANEDA, Susan Gothro - age 64, of Flint, formerly of San Pedro, CA died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Life Enrichment Center, 2512 S. Dye Rd., Flint with Rev Joy Fletcher officiating. Susan was born September 25, 1946 in Detroit, the daughter of J. Roger and Margaret (Whittaker) Gothro. Susan was an entrepreneur who embraced the Mexican culture, loved music, ducks, geese, cats and the ocean, but most of all she loved being a Grandma. She always kept a positive outlook on life and loved to laugh. Surviving are: daughter, Susana (Eric) Wight; two grandchildren, Mariana and Steven Wight; mother, Margaret Beattie; life partner, Jeffery Miller; two sisters, Kathy (Harold) Defever and Laurie (Mike) Smith; five brothers, Roger (Debbie) Gothro, John (Sarah) Gothro, Bill (Cheryl) Gothro, Bob (Cathy) Gothro, and Ken Gothro; former husband, Ricardo Castaneda; step-mother, Norma Gothro and several cousins, neices, nephews and friends.
