Steve Jozefiak

Jozefiak, Steve - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek.  Fr. Amos Wischmeyer  celebrant. Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek from 12-4 and 5-9 pm Monday.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice. Steve was born December 12, 1923 in Hamtramck, the son of Joseph and Caroline (Stempien) Jozefiak. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1972, coming from Detroit. He married Dorothy Ann Schemanski September 25, 1954 in Dearborn. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr Jozefiak retired from GM SPO Swartz Creek after 45 years of service where he never missed a day of work. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Dom Polski. Flint PLAV Post. He also was an avid golfer and bowler. He is survived by; beloved wife, Dorothy Ann and was the loving father of 3 children, Joseph (Jeanne) of Dewitt, Mary Ann (Tim) Livesay of Lake Fenton, Carol (Rick) Wilson of Rochester Hills; and devoted grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Erica, Brittany, Caroline, Alexa and Alyse. Also surviving are; sister Helen (Steve) Krawiec of Warren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Keech.
