Stephen Wilson

WILSON, Stephen H. -- Age 71, of Davison, passed away August 21, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center after a battle with cancer and heart disease. Steve was born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1947 to John and Elvina (Roden) Wilson. He graduated from Davison High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany receiving an honorable discharge as a Spec. 5. Steve received his Associates Degree from Baker College. He married Joyce Wilson in 1971 and they had one child, Brent R. Wilson. Steve was a long time employee of the Hamady Brothers Grocery Stores working at the warehouse on Dort Highway until it closed. He was a proud retired member of the Teamsters Union. Steve loved to golf and tip a few with his good friends at the local watering hole. He was so proud of his son, Brent, and even though divorced, he remained friends with his ex- wife, Joyce, who remained by his side with Brent through his illness. The family would like to thank the staff at University of Michigan Hospital and Hurley Medical Center. No services will be held. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Stephen was preceded in death by his mother and father John and Elvina Wilson, brother, Douglas J. Wilson and mother and father in law Earl and Cleo Bauder.
