He married Mary Kathleen Thomas on December 7, 1974. Steve was a Registered Nurse at the Caro Center with the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Steve was a simple man. He loved Jesus, and his wild and crazy family and friends. He enjoyed golf, cards and any sports or activities his grand babies were apart of. He loved driving the back roads with his wife while listening to their favorite Gaither vocal band. Steves grand babies held his heart and were his pride and joy. He was the best Boppa around. He thought his daughters and son were the coolest, funniest people he knew. Through Steve’s life story there was joy, some sorrow, some trials but most importantly there was redemption and love. Throughout all this there was one that walked along side him through his story. His best friend, his wife, his honey Kath. They created a story that has touched many lives in different ways. But it was their story together and it was ordained by our Heavenly Father that held their hands through it all.Surviving are: wife, Kathleen of Mayville; three daughters, Kelly (Ryan) Powers of Grand Blanc, Tracy (Michael) Barker of Frankenmuth, and Minda (Mikey) Abbey of Hartland; son, Jeffry (Jillian) Nokovich of Fenton; his beloved grandchildren, Zoie, Kaden, Easton, and Luke Powers, Griffin, Bri, and Sophia Barker, Vinnie, Bodie, Tum, and Koda Abbey, Jaylen, Tookie, Tatum, and Nolan Nokovich; siblings, Tami, Lisa, David, Daniel, Kathy, and Jobie; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law that were special to him; many nieces, nephews, other family members and beloved friends.
