Stephen Legrand

LeGRAND, Stephen Ray - Age 71, of Flushing, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021. A memorial service will take place 3 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Stephen was born on December 29, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, MO, the son of Cleophas and Freeda (Higgerson) LeGrand. He worked for GM UAW 659 for 37 years before his retirement. Stephen and Kathleen Miskell were united in marriage on February 15, 1985 in Walled Lake. He loved spending time with is family and was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed going to the gun range and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen LeGrand; children, Stephen LeGrand II, Shannon (Antonio) Quinteiro and Melissa LeGrand; grandchildren, Anthony (Megan) LeGrand, Natasha (Evan) Boomhower and Alejandro Quinteiro; great-granddaughter, Alisha; siblings, Janice Moffitt, Beverly (Robert) LaBonte, Brenda LeGrand-Cross and Michael LeGrand; two aunts, uncle, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Cleophas and Freeda LeGrand; brother, Mark LeGrand; and mother-in-law, Ruth Miskell. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
