Stanley Mcallister

McAllister, Stanley Dale - Age 75, of Durand, died Thursday, September 17, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Pastor Scott Pullen officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Stanley McAllister Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Stanley was born October 21, 1938 in Linden the son of Ernest Walter and Pearl Alberta (Wilke) McAllister. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Alice J. Hawkins January 18, 1958 in Argentine and she preceded him in death March 13, 1999. Stanley retired from GM Chevrolet in 1993 after 30 years of service. He has resided in Durand since 1973. He was a member of the Durand V.F.W. Post #2272 and was a former member of the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243. He was also preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert McAllister; sisters, Janet Smith, Kathy Holland, Joanne Seaquist, and Alice McAllister; and grandson, Daniel Thomas McAllister.
