Stanley Goch

GOCH, Stanley Carl - Age 82, of Fenton, died Thursday, February 4, 2021. Private memorial service will take place at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Wesley Smith will officiate with the burial following in Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Stanley was born July 29, 1938 in Dearborn, Michigan the son of Stanley and Genevieve (Chmielewicz) Goch. He graduated from Fordson High School, class of 1956. Stanley and Roberta Waters were united in marriage on July 29, 1972 in Fenton. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 22 years before his retirement. Stanley was an electrician for General Motors and Ford  for 40 years before his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, target shooting, bird watching, reading, and he helped restore airplanes with the Yankee Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Goch; three children, Gerald (Judy) Lemire, Tina (Brian) Smith and James (Joanna) Goch; six grandchildren, David, Nate, Sarah, Wesley, Gerry and Nigel; two great-grandchildren, Florence and Emma Lemire; and sister, Barbara Anderson.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Genevieve Goch; brother, Ken (Mary) Goch; and brother-in-law, Jack Anderson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
