Stanley James BENISH

BENISH, Stanley James -- Age 94, of Flint, died September 24, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be Held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Mr. Benish was born November 11, 1916 in Flint the son of Stanley and Albina (Raczynski) Bienias. He was a 1934 graduate of St. Michael Catholic High School. He had been employed by Fisher Body Tank Plant as a master welder during the war and he retired from Genesee Bank as Senior Vice President. Surviving are: his wife of 70 years, Mary Jane; son, John Benish of Fenton; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, June Purcell. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center and the owners, staff and residents of Woodhaven Senior Community for the offers of support, help and there kind expression of sympathy.
