LASKOWSKI, Sophie R. "Nana" - Age 88, of Fenton, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a rosary will be prayed 7 PM Monday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. Laskowski was born October 28, 1920 in Caro, the daughter of Stephen and Pauline (Kinrisk) Stapczynski. She married George Laskowski on September 13, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Mrs. Laskowski retired from JL Hudson. She was an original dancer with the Living Dolls Musicals and active in the Hartland Senior Center. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: four children, Judith Wilemski (Denis) of Shelby Twp., June Enlow (Jim) of Jackson, Janice Rotarius (Tim) of Chesterfield, Gary Laskowski of Grand Blanc; four grandchildren, Kristofer Enlow (Kristen), Nicholas Enlow, Sarah Rotarius and Joshua Rotarius; one great-granddaughter, Kate; brother, Joseph Stapczynski.
