CASEBOLT, Sophie (Yokobosky) Durish -- Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died February 9, 2011 at the Pines of Lake Fenton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, February 12 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Jeffrey Njus celebrant. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with a rosary at 7 PM Friday. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions in lieu of flowers to St. Mary's Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek or for masses. Sophie was born January 14, 1918 in Osceola Mills, PA, the daughter of Frank and Veronica (Mrozinski) Yokobosky. She married Joseph A. Durish in 1938; he preceded her in death in 1964. She married Joe Casebolt in 1970; he preceded her in death in 2009. Sophie retired from GM, Chevrolet Metal Fab with 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. She enjoyed bowling, camping, canoeing, knitting, reading, and puzzles. Surviving are: daughter Veronica (Craig) Morris of Fenton; daughters-in-law, Lois Durish of Swartz Creek, Sharon Durish of South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Lisa Durish, Larry Durish, Diana Durish, Eric Durish, Anthony Durish, Juliana DeMarco, Robert Durish II, Mark Morris, Jeff Morris, Tonya Sundermann; step-granddaughter, Sandra Matzinger; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Angie) Yokobosky of Frankenmuth; sister, Nellie Mekis of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her three sons, Joseph, Robert, and Francis Durish; sisters, Jenny, Frances, and Jean; brothers, Anthony and Steve Yokobosky; great-grandson, Trevor Morris; and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Durish.
