Sophia Boyer

BOYER, Sophia Etta (Hale) - Age 93, of Flint, died Monday, April 13, 2020. Private service will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Rd, Flint. Sophia was born on April 3, 1927 in Missouri, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Via) Hale. She graduated from Flint Northern High School, class of 1945. Sophia and Ralph Boyer were united in marriage on November 10, 1946 in Flint. She was a homemaker, staying home to raise three children. Sophia was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Flint Township. She is survived by her 3 children, Carolyn (Gary) McNally, Marilyn (Dennis) Hect and Ralph "Dean" Boyer; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sophia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, William and Myrtle Hale; and  brother, William Hale Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Maple Woods Manor in Clio.
