Shirley Virginia Burleigh - Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died April 28, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 6 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral Thursday, May 6. Shirley was born January 25, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Kenneth J. and Hazel (Kintz) Moffitt. She was married to Clifton E. Burleigh; and he preceded her in death July 21, 2014. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Vanduyne for 14 years, and then McLaren for 18 years. Surviving are: two daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Michael) Echlin of Flint, Dianne Lee of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Belinda Elder, Joseph Echlin, Jeff (Linda) Johnson, Brianna (John) Sanders, Jason Coulter, Frederick Lee, Fred Richardson; great-grandchildren, Rob Elder, Cindy Elder, Rebecca Elder, Angel Coulter, Jason Coulter, Justice Coulter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Larry Moffitt; sister, Betty (Chuck) Hadley and her grand-daughter, Carmela. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
