Shirley Werda

WERDA, Shirley Marie -- Age 81 of Flushing died October 21, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1PM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris. Pastor Rob King officiating. Interment will take place at Flushing Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of service Saturday. Contributions may be made to the family. Shirley was born April 15, 1934, the daughter of Robley and Marie (Redburn) Evans in Saginaw. She married Gerald Werda on October 27, 1951 in Alma. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid at Community Mental Health. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church, where she was very active in women's ministry. She enjoyed music, reading, being outdoors in nature, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by: husband Gerald Werda, children; Lorraine (Dennis) Furtaw, Dennis (Pamela) Werda, Mark (Beverly) Werda, Dale Werda, Randall Werda, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Werda, grandchildren; Angela (Tom) Dick, Jason (Elizabeth) Werda, Aaron Werda, Evan Werda, Callen Werda, Ryan Werda, Lucas Werda, Autumn Werda, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Margaret (Dave) Holton, brother Duane Evans, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
