WALKER, Shirley Blanch - Of Fenton, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, July 8, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St. Fenton.  Pastor Robbie Carnes officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to M.A.D.D. or First Presbyterian Church of Fenton.  

Shirley was born November 23 in Cherryville, NC, the daughter of Carl and Buna (Goins) Ross.  She was a graduate of Dobbs-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN.  She married Richard Allen "Dick" Walker May 1, 1964 in Flint and he preceded her in death August 8, 1993.  She had resided on Lake Fenton the past 50 years coming from Tennessee.  Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton.  She worked with and was the State Chair of M.A.D.D. where she help facilitate the Victim Impact Panel and was a Victim Advocate for victims of Drunk Drivers.  She also was a volunteer in many different ways for Lake Fenton Community Schools. She was an avid U of M, Tennessee Vols and Nascar fan. 

Surviving are: her daughter, Kelly (Eddie) Narring of Clarkston; grandchildren, Jordan Havens, Toni Elizabeth Havens, Kenny Walker, Lenny Walker, Tabby Walker, Shawna Walker and Tonie Ellen; two bonus grandchildren, Stefanie and Andrea; many great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Benny and Tony Walker.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
