Shirley A. Triplett

TRIPLETT, Shirley A., age 66 of Flint, died at home, Sunday January 20, 2008.  Shirley was born in Flint on August 21, 1941 the daughter of Harry and Florence (LeFluer) Gilmore.  She has been a lifelong resident of the Flint area.  She and Eugene were married in Texas on August 30, 1958. Shirley retired from A.C. Spark Plug after 22 years of service.  She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.  She is survived by her husband, Eugene; her three children; Kelly Cowan and husband Steve, Eugene Triplett, Jr., Sherri King and husband John.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Vera Goodman and 3 brothers,  Omer Gilmore and wife Shirley, Harry Gilmore and wife Joyce and William Gilmore along with many nieces and nephews.  Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, a son Bryan Triplett and a sister, Valarie. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Twp.  Entombment will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 8 P.M.
