Shirley Mae Palmer

Palmer, Shirley Mae (Chumma)- Age 90, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, February 24, 2025 of natural causes. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc (The funeral service may be viewed by livestream from a link on Mrs. Palmer's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral at 11:30 AM on Tuesday March 4. 

Shirley was born February 11, 1935 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Clifford Oliver DeMell and Dorothy Theora (Corlew) DeMell. She worked at Buick with 26 years of service before retiring in 1991. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Teeko, her cat. 

Surviving are: three children, Daelyn (Terrell) Pierce of Fenton, Richard (Kim) Palmer of Acton, California, Julie (Doug) Spiller of Grand Blanc; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; niece and nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharelee Horton; sister, Sharon Timbs, and husband, Lloyd Metiva.
