Shirley G. Lewis

Shirley G. Lewis, age 93, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Visitation will be held at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Shirley was born on February 21, 1931, in Mason County, Michigan and was raised by Charles & Clifford Haight. She attended Dye High School, class of 1949. She married Fred Lewis on September 26, 1950. She was a long-time member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she loved fellowshipping and her Ladies Sunday School Class. In recent years due to her declining health, she was a shut-in member. Shirley loved to read scripture and kept her Bible always nearby.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her fondest memories were the girl's road trips she would take with her daughter and granddaughters. Her favorite place to visit was Mackinac Island.

Some of her hobbies included crocheting, baking and reading. She also had a profound love for animals, especially her fur babies and grand fur babies. Throughout the years she donated to various animal rescues. She absolutely loved celebrating birthdays, for her birthday she wanted to go to BlackRock and order the volcano dessert. 

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Nancy, and sons Bailey (Brandi), Brian (Janet) and Bradley; 11 grandchildren, Danielle, Martin, Joshua, Cori, Kelli, Stephanie, Kelsey, Sayla, Stephen, Ashley and Kevin and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many other dear family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Dale; grandson, Wesley, and son-in-law, Dan.
