Shirley Ann JARRAD

JARRAD, Shirley Ann -- Age 72, of Swartz Creek, died August 20, 2010 at Durand Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 24 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Mr. Greg Varner officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Sunday, 12-3 and 5-9 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Old Newsboys. Shirley was born September 3, 1937 in Detroit the daughter of Alger and Geraldine (Bullock) MacAuley. She was a graduate of Fairview High School. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1958. She was married to LeRoy Jarrad who preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Jarrad retired from G.M. V8 Engine in 1999 and was a member of U.A.W. Local 659. Surviving are: three children, Warren Steven (Jan) Jarrad of Higgins Lake, Carrie (Jim) Buckner of Clifford, Jeffery (Amanda) Jarrad of Swartz Creek; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings Faye Reeves, Ron (Darlene) MacAuley, Dr. Richard MacAuley, Jeannie Hensley, Arlene (Robert) McConnell, Patricia McCracken, Greg MacAuley, Brian (Dawn) MacAuley, Robin (Dallas)Sutliff; niece and nephew who she raised, Golda Mae McCarrick and Rick McCarrick; and many nieces and nephews.
