Shirley Henson

HENSON, Shirley Diane (Mosholder) - Age 85, of Ossineke, MI formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. Visitation will take place from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Entombment will take place 11 AM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to the Hospice of Michigan.

Shirley was born on March 20, 1935 in Crucible, PA the daughter of Milton and Helen (Sauers) Sprague. She graduated from Carmichael's High School. Shirley was a home health aide for many years before her retirement. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved and lived her life for all of them. Shirley was also a devoted big sister that loved her 3 sisters unconditionally. She was a giving person who never knew the meaning of the word "no." It was not part of her vocabulary. In her free time she enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her 3 children, Ruth Mosholder, Brian Mosholder and Randy (Chris) Mosholder; 3 step-children, Angie, Rob and Rich; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Catherine (Johnny) Sekerak, Nancy McMinn and Sharon (Milan) Evosevich; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Dewey Mosholder; second husband, Lenard Henson; step-daughter, Sherry; and special friend, Jay. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
