Shirley Hardenburg

HARDENBURG, Shirley Ann "Pug" -- Age 82 of Mt. Morris, formerly Lake, MI. died Sunday May 25, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc. Memorial Services will be held 5 PM Sunday, June 1 at Living Word 6325 Calkins Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2413 S. Linden Road, Flint, MI. 48532. Mrs. Hardenburg was born in Flint, June 7, 1931, the daughter of Sherman and Effie (Sisco) Mc Comb. She graduated from Dye High School in 1949. She married her high school Sweetheart Neil B. Hardenburg on April 15, 1950. Shirley worked at Hurley Hospital for 25 years, after retiring moved up north to Lake, Mi. and lived there for 28 years. She loved to play bingo, bowling, " solving Suduko puzzles, gardening. Surviving are: husband, Neil Hardenburg; daughters, Louise (Alvin) Marshall, Sandra (David) Weesner; sons, Mark (Karen) Hardenburg; grandchildren, Katie, Alvin, Jamie, Joddi, Stacie, Ryan, Trent, Aaron and Paige; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Lauren, Ella, Drew, Hailey, Peyton, Marshall, Kaytlyn, Brennan, Ryland. She was preceded in death by, her parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Kenneth;son, Russell J. Hardenburg. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she was and always will be loved and missed.
