HAJEK, Shirley M. - Of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Durand Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, April 17, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel. Visitation at will be held 11AM-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Shirley was the daughter of Alexander and Alice Irene (Harding) Lince. She had been a life-long resident of Flint's Eastside and the Swartz Creek areas. Shirley married Anthony Hajek in November, 1999. Mrs. Hajek was been employed at AC Spark Plug as an assembly worker for 30+ years until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Life Enrichment Unity Church Center and the AC Chorus. Mrs. Hajek enjoyed making dolls and crocheted all her grandchildren's first outfits. Shirley did graphoanalysis (handwriting analysis) and was a member of the Burton and Swartz Creek Senior Centers, Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship and U.S. Travelers. She was also a Mary Kay Distributor and manicurist. Surviving are: son, Donald (Dorothy) Tomkinson of Linden; daughter, Kathryn (Gary) Stanley of Swartz Creek; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Jean) Lince of Flint; sisters, Margaret (Bob)Oelfke of Davison, Marilyn (Jerry) Werschky of Flushing; sister-in-law, Judy Lince. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony; father of her children, Kenneth Tomkinson; great-granddaughter, Morgan McGregor; and brother, Bill Lince.
