Shirley Goodrich

GOODRICH, Shirley A. - Age 84, of Spring Hill, FL and formerly of Sterling Heights, passed away January 29, 2023. Funeral Mass 11:00 Friday, February 3, 2023 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton. Fr. Robert McGraw Celebrant. Visitation 2PM-8PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc and visitation will continue 10AM Friday at church. A Rosary will be prayed 6PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Interment Saturday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 17100 Van Dyke Cemetery, Detroit. Memorial Contributions in Shirley's memory would be appreciated to Detroit Catholic Central High School.

Shirley was born April 25, 1938 in Detroit, the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Bushey) Torkelson. She married George M. Goodrich in Warren on September 27, 1958. George preceded her in death on January 19, 2019. Shirley was employed as a Secretary with Chrysler Corp. and Kelly Services for many years. She was a member of the Michigan Club in Florida. Shirley enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, and playing the organ.

Shirley is survived by: her children, David (Sue) Goodrich, Gary Goodrich, Greg (Karen) Goodrich, Martin (Michaela) Goodrich, Lori (Jeff) Austin, Daniel (Angela) Goodrich; grandchildren, Amanda Goodrich, Michael Newman, Jennifer Newman, Nicole Murphy, Austin  Goodrich, Kyle Goodrich, Albert Goodrich, Janet Goodrich, Adam Goodrich, Joseph Goodrich, Christian Goodrich, Joshua Austin, Jeremy Austin, Rene Taylor, Caleb Fairbanks, and Wyatt Brown; great grandsons Conor and Colton; sister, Dolores Lundergan; several nieces and nephews.
