Shirley Foutz

FOUTZ, Shirley Ann - Age 72, of Grand Blanc, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 19, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, August 25 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta Street, Burton. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday with a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. The family will also receive friends from 10 AM until the time of Mass at the church on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or a charity of one's choice. Shirley was born April 4, 1944 in Flint, the daughter of Lloyd and Mary Louise (Pierson) Turmell. She married Paul Foutz on May 1, 1965 in Flint. As a homemaker, she fulfilled her calling. She was an active member of St. John's of Davison and was the chairman of their Bingo Group. Shirley was also a member of the Davison F.O.E and the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and trips to Las Vegas and Disney World. Shirley is survived by her husband, Paul; four children, Kristen (Paul Robinson) Foutz , Denise (Mark) LaValle, Jeffrey Foutz and Brian (Heather) Foutz; four grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney), Regina, Jonathan and Kacey; siblings, Janet Weycker, Madonna Orrison and Robert (Donna) Turmell; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Turmell. The family extends special thanks to the caregivers at Reverence Hospice.
