ELMORE, Shirley J. -Age 75, of Montrose, died Saturday, September 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Ed Abbott officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will take place 2-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Shirley was born June 3, 1941 in Flint, the daughter of David Austin and Grace (Good) Smith. She married John J. Elmore August 1, 1964. She resided in Montrose. Shirley was devoted to her husband and family. She liked cooking, canning, baking pies, and crafts. She is survived by her husband, John Elmore; children, Debra (Doug) Yerian, Connie Wright, John E. Elmore; grandchildren, Dr. Laura (Michael Walawender) Wright, Taylor (Sarah) Wright, Steven Yerian, Courtney Wright; sister, Earlene (Ray) Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings.
