Shirley Dean Edwards

EDWARDS, Shirley Dean - Age 64,  of Fenton, died  Friday, March 30, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held 3PM Monday, April 2, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Eugene Blankenship officiating. Visitation will be held 1-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Shirley was born November 6, 1942 in Arkansas the daughter of Eugene and Lavina (Oliver) Willhite. She graduated from Fenton High School and had been employed as a medical assistant at a family practice in Rochester Hills. Shirley married James Edwards in 1962 who predeceased her January 4, 1979. She is survived by 4 children,  Karen Calhoun of Texas, Debbie Johnson (Roger) of Texas, David Edwards of Texas, Cheryl Nelson (Alan)of Fenton; 10 grandchildren; Dianna Reed (Jeff), Kenneth, Amber and David Edwards, Shanda Barnett (Craig), Anthony, Lavina and Jennalyn Calhoun, Annette and David Jazzo; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, J. Willhite (Rose) of Grand Blanc; and sister; Edna Cost of California.  Shirley was also preceded in death by her son, Jim Edwards in July, 2000.
