Shirley Book

BOOK, Shirley Jo - Age 82, died Monday, November 16, 2020.  Private funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, November 21, 2020  at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Live streaming of the service will be available November 21, 2020 at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.  Public visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 11 AM - 1:00 PM.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Whaley Children's Center.

Shirley was born October 1, 1938 in Jonesboro, AR, the daughter of Myers Lee Fisher and Druella Smith.  She was a 1956 graduate of Jonesboro High School Jonesboro, AR and she received a Masters Degree from Arkansas State University.  She retired from Flint Community Schools; and she had also taught for Fenton Community Schools. She had resided in Fenton since 1970. Shirley enjoyed sports, baking, crafts, tennis, ice skating, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are: son, Tony Book (Jennifer) of Fenton; daughter, Elizabeth Book (Eric Camp) of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, Leighanne and Remington Book both of Fenton; brothers, Albert Fisher (Selma) of Arkansas and Bobby Dunn of Alabama; sister-in-law, Nancy Dunn of Alabama; cousins, Norma Zimmerman (Bill) of Clinton, Jerry Taylor (Pat) of Arkansas, and Donna Williams of Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews, and other cousins.
