Sheryl Penoyer

PENOYER, Sheryl Joanne (Hintze) - Age 61, of Oscoda formerly of Flushing, died Friday, December 9, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 5-8 PM, Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM, and at the church Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or March of Dimes. Sheryl was born June 7, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Harvey and Nancy (Bruneau) Hintze. She was a 1973 graduate of Flushing High School. She married Jerry B. Penoyer November 30, 1974 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint. Sheryl co-owned and operated Red Carpet Keim Realty in Flushing and recently was an advocate of the elderly as Public Guardian for Iosco County. She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed nothing more than helping raise her grandchildren and watching them grow. Surviving are: her husband, Jerry; daughter, Leigh Anne and husband Marc Crumm of Fenton; son, Kyle and wife Ashley Penoyer of Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Michaela, Max, and Morgan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
