Sherry Sovia

Sovia, Sherry Kathleen - Age 69, of Gaines, died August 22, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday August 28 at Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 1 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sherry was born June 5,1950 in Detroit, the daughter of Howard and Marie (Gruber) Massey. She married Thomas J. Sovia August 12, 1972 in Flint. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2019. Sherry volunteered at Swartz Creek Senior Center. She had worked for Venture in Grand Blanc and Flint as a supervisor and an inspector. Sherry enjoyed reading, antique shopping, and going up north gambling with her husband. She is survived by her daughter: Marcy (Todd) Haggerty of Grand Blanc; grandchildren: Dylan, Kory, and Ryan; special aunt Gloria Johnson; special friend: Crystal.
