PETERSON, Sherry Lynn - Age 55, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, April 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Saturday April 30, 2016 at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Family will also receive friends 10AM until time of service at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Sherry was born in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of William John and Janet Lee (Kelly) Peterson. Sherry was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, volunteer at Hurley Pediatric Play Room for 20 years, a member of the Hurley Auxiliary, Jaycees and member of the Red Hatters. Surviving are: father, William Peterson of Swartz Creek; brother, Tim William (Patty) Peterson of IL; sister, Christin Michelle Peterson of Swartz Creek; nephews, Cameron, Caleb, Jesse; friends, Christine Cowles, Shirley Pittsley, Barb Staton and Janet Giberson.
