Sherry Hays

HAYS, Sherry Kay - age 61, of Flushing, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy in Pontiac after a long battle with cancer. Private services will be held Thursday and following at 2 PM Thursday, July 17, 2008 there will be a celebration of life gathering at the Hays residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sherry was born April 25, 1947, the daughter of Frank and Cynthia (Wright) Dean. She married Harlan Hays in November of 1976. Sherry loved gardening and was an excellent cook, especially her dumplings. She loved life, family and especially her grandchildren. Surviving are: husband, Harlan; son, Lance and wife, Joy of Burton; two grandchildren, Jacy and Seth; two brothers, Terry Dean and wife, Kathy of Davison, Douglas Dean; two nephews, Scott Dean and wife, Sarah, Mark Dean and wife, Bonnie; two sisters-in-law, Virginia and husband, Jim Brohn, Donna Kekesis; brother-in-law, Bill Hays and wife, Pam.
