Sherry Jean DEROCHER

DEROCHER, Sherry Jean, age 64 of Holly, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Sherry was born on August 14, 1945 in Broseley, Missouri. She has lived in Holly the past 15 years. Sherry was retired from the Huron Valley Public Schools after 32 years of service where she was a transportation secretary. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Allen of Holly, a son, Derek VanTassel of Fenton, 6 grandchildren; Kali, Hanah, Jillian, Jonah, Jase and Joslyn. As extended grandchildren, she loved Jamie Stevenson, Kalie Compton, Macmaster and Ella Valley and Tyler and Madeline Ellis. Also surviving are 6 sisters; Patty Holt, Kimmy McCallum, Deborah Barnett, Pam Cutty, Jackie Grosinsky, Brenda Derocher and a brother, Edward Derocher and her mother, Dorothy Derocher. Cremation rites have taken place under the direction of Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel. A private family gathering will take place in her honor.
